Sales Lead – CFO Services

Position Overview:
We are looking for a seasoned Sales Lead to spearhead our CFO Services business development efforts. This role is ideal for a highly motivated professional with deep experience selling B2B consulting services—particularly within finance, private equity, or professional services. You will play a critical role in shaping go-to-market strategy, driving lead generation, and closing high-value engagements related to fractional CFO, Controller, and FP&A services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and lead the sales process for our CFO service line—from lead generation through close.
  • Build and execute a strategic sales plan targeting private equity firms, founders, and CFOs.
  • Leverage your network and industry knowledge to identify qualified opportunities.
  • Engage with C-level executives to understand financial needs and present service solutions.
  • Work closely with internal delivery teams to scope projects and craft compelling proposals.
  • Guide and mentor any junior sales resources or partners involved in pipeline development.
  • Represent Roundtable Strategy Advisors at relevant industry events and networking opportunities.
  • Report regularly on pipeline, forecasts, and key metrics to firm leadership.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in B2B sales or business development, preferably within consulting, private equity, or financial services.
  • Strong understanding of CFO roles and the value of interim/fractional financial leadership.
  • Demonstrated success in closing complex, high-value service engagements.
  • Executive presence with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to operate independently in a remote environment with minimal oversight.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms and pipeline management tools.
  • Existing relationships within the private equity, founder, or CEO communities is a strong plus.
